Dr. Kelly N.Mai, O.D., is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist for children, adult, and geriatric patients with over 10 years of experience. She is certified to diagnose and medically treat patients with eye diseases such as dry eyes, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and more.
Knowing that her goal was to be a healthcare provider, Dr. Mai graduated with a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Houston with straight academic Dean’s List honors and Magna Cum Laude in 2002. Immediately after bachelor’s degree, she went on to receive her Doctorate of Optometry from University of Houston College of Optometry in 2006.
Dr. Mai has always been a go-getter. She started her practice at Bay City Vision Care and established Central Vision Quest, P.A. in Brenham one year after in 2007. In 2017, she has joined Vision Trends and established Cypress Ranch Vision. For more than a decade, Dr. Mai has kept excellent status for the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association as well. Dr. Kelly Mai strives to provide the most comprehensive care for her patients as possible. During her externships at Mann Eye Institute, Laser Eye Center, and Houston Eye Center, she developed special interests including difficult contact lens fitting, the diagnosis and management of ocular disease, and the pre and post-operative care of LASIK laser vision correction.
During her free time, she loves to give back to her community and her Vietnamese roots. Dr. Kelly Mai is the Co-Founder of the Vietnamese Culture Foundation, promoting awareness of traditional Vietnamese Culture. She is also a member of Towne Lake Ladies Group, Towne Lake Moms’; Group, Towne Lake Entrepreneurs, and Tu Bi Dao Trang. Not only is she super active in her surroundings but she also loves creative bonding activities with her toddler and spending time with her twins. In addition to everything, she is a volunteer and supporter of both Rennell Elementary School and Cornerstone United Methodist Preschool.
